Concept Design I did for feature film ‘AMYGDALA’ which is currently in development. In 2020, writer and director Gary Eck (Happy Feet 2) approached me to assist him with by bringing his vision to life. The film is set in a dystopian world where prisoners are sentenced to Mind Incarcerations and punished with despicable realities where the whole world can watch.

I was tasked to explore both the 'Pod Room' and the 'Pod's' themselves. The room was to be of a brutalist aesthetic, and have a strong sense of functionality that would be based on how the Pod's would move within the room. We developed the idea that Pod's would run on a floor track system, with overhead cranes that could lift individual Pod's once a prisoner had expired (died) or whether a Pod would need to be removed for maintenance. The room would be flanked with elevator platforms that would become contact points for prisoners to be delivered into the room and placed into a Pod. We aimed to ensure that the 'beauty of the design' would be a result of critical thinking and functionality.
